Herne Fest ’25
20th June 3.30 to 6.30 – celebrating 50 years of herne
Sing and dance along to live music, eat, drink, play and jump to your heart’s content on our bouncy castles – and don’t forget to splash your teachers in the stocks!
£1 per ticket for entry
Tokens can be used to pay for fun, snacks, drink and merch on the day. Buy tokens in advance to beat the queues! Food trucks will take card or cash.

Activities
All activities 1 or 2 tokens, except circus skills which is free.
Tokens cost £1 each and you can buy them online in advance to save queuing. You can buy them on the day – card only!
Tokens and entry tickets are non-refundable.
The non-HAFs stalls take cash or card, NOT tokens. These are:

G&T in a tin – 3 tokens

Prosecco (single) – 3 tokens
Prosecco (bottle) – 12 tokens
Soft drinks – 1 token
Diet Coke, Juice, Pepsi Max, Fanta Zero, Lemonade and bottled water.
Food
Tuck shop – 1 token per item
Selling snacks, sweets and crisps.
Earth to Oven ETO flatbreads – c. £7 (not tokens)
They have meat, veggie with cheese and vegan options and sides including mac ‘n’ cheese bites and falafel.
Northern Slice pizza – £8-13 (not tokens)
They also sell garlic bread and brownies.
You can also bring your own food to Herne Fest.

How do I get in and collect my tokens?
Beat the queues and pre-pay for your tokens! Tokens will be available online until Wednesday 18 June at 9pm.
Your pre-paid tokens will be available for collection from 3.15 from the entrance gate at the bottom of the field.
If you haven’t pre-paid then you can purchase tokens at the festival by card only. There will be a separate area to do this and it may get congested, so please be patient.
Tokens are non-refundable. If you have any left when you leave, please share with others or hand in to any stall.
How do I buy stuff?
All HAFS activities take tokens (except circus skills which is free). The food vans take card or cash at their discretion and the Herne students’ craft stall takes cash only.
Activities are 1 or 2 tokens, soft drinks are 1 token, alcoholic drinks are 3 tokens and food is 3 to 4 tokens.
More tokens can be bought from the small playground during Herne Fest.
How do I get first aid?
There is a first aid point at the Herne Hideout.
Where can I find lost children / property?
Lost children and property will be taken to the Herne Hideout.
Can I come to Herne Fest without a grown up?
No! Sorry, all children must be supervised by an adult. Children entering alone will be stopped and asked to wait at the gate for an adult to supervise them.
Neither HAFS or Herne school can be responsible for children attending this closed event outside of school hours.
How do I get to Herne Fest? Can I park?
There is no parking onsite, except 2 disabled spaces, first come, first served. There is strictly no access to the festival via Love Lane, this is for emergency access only. Please enter via the lower gate from Hoadlands road.
Who can come to Herne Fest?
Herne Fest is for Herne pupils, recent alumni and their families and friends, and those of incoming pupils currently in year 2.
Where is the money going?
Money raised goes to the school for activities and equipment for its students. The event is coordinated by HAFS volunteers with the support of the school.
Will there be a photographer?
Yes, there will be a photographer onsite and we will share details of where you can see the photos. Please be patient, it will take at least 3 working days to see the photos.
Photographs taken may be used in school newsletters, this website and local media.
If you do not want your child’s photograph to be taken, please collect a wrist band from the token station which will identify them easily so our photographer can avoid them in group shots.
